about
yoyodisco is a brand new band born in 2020. Angel Eyes is the band's first single, an electro house energy cover from the hit album by Roxy Music. The original song is contained in "Manifesto", published by Polydor Records in 1979. The first original "glam rock" version was followed by the publication of the best known hit banger Disco version. Yoyodisco's cover is a tribute to Ferry & Eno's legendary band and to that specific and colourful Post-Punk-Funk no disco music scene, composed by such great bands as ESG, Talking Heads, Lizzy Mercier Descloux and many many more.
In Angel Eyes yoyodisco mix analog electronics, vst and "live” instruments looking for the perfect balance between a Pop and Electro House sound vibe. Funky guitars and acid synth Korg basslines merge with the vocal loops on a dark background created by the magic Buchla Easel, punctuated by the rhythm of the classic 707 enriched by timbales and digital disco toms. The group is currently at work in the studio to produce the first EP
lyrics
Oh angel eyes
Am I decieved or did you sigh?
For all I know you let your love light Shine on me
Oh angel eyes
You never close, who's got the time?
Well I can wait until your love light Shine on me
Oh angel eyes
Seems to me you fill the skies
I'm far below so let your love light
Shine on me
Oh angel eyes
On the wing and opened wide
Now matter now how how the moon Shine down on me
Angel, angel eyes
Angel, angel eyes
Angel, angel eyes
Angel, angel eyes
